We ended up in the top Eastern portion of North Dakota. We needed to get to the bottom Western portion, so we could traverse the Teddy Roosevelt National Park from South to North. But it was raining a lot. So we started at the south end of the North Unit of the park. The next day we visited the much busier South Unit. While the South Unit is more picturesque and badlandy, the North Unit has more altitude changes and views and cool stuff. Oh, maybe not. But it is much less busy.
But first, there was this old railroad bridge that leads to an old tunnel. It’s long enough to get very dark before you come out the other end.
