This is one of those required trips if you’re in Juneau. There’s a waterfall, and seals, and a glacier at the end. We didn’t see it calve. There was a harbor porpoise on the way back. Juneau had just hosted an Ironman competition. Apparently a bunch of the folks on the boat were from that. One guy was really friendly, not just talking to me but even kinda hangin out. And then someone asked me if I was part of the Ironman too, and obviously that is ridiculous and I said so. The guy never said another word to me the rest of the day-long trip. So I was disappointing strangers now too.
